How many times have you wondered what life's all about — that illusory 'what is the meaning of life' question.

Well after much internal soul searching and years of scouring the cosmos I have come to the conclusion at this moment in time, that it is simply about 'something better'!

Yep... that's it alright.. No science, legal, academic degree or Ph.D in philosophy needed here.

Something better for yourself, your partner, children, family and anyone you choose, which ends up being translated into the whole of humanity, however that something better is totally unique to you! That sign that you are moving ahead, gaining, winning, indicated by that little secret feeling of excitement, that buzz that only you know about. That piece de resistance if you like.

It's a weird thing, this evolutionary human brain cog that has been somehow genetically grown inside us assisting us to advance, however we shall leave this topic albeit extremely interesting, for another day, perhaps one where I am feeling more godly like... chuckle.

Something better doesn't necessarily mean more either — rather it means a change for the better.

It can be the tiniest of things like being on your last dollar and having to use the same tea bag five times stepping up to using only one bag per cup, or working out which colour paint to freshen up the house with, making you feel that much better. More importantly it can be a simple act of kindness toward another, one good deed per day will set you free. Perhaps a simple "Good morning" to a stranger whilst doing your morning walk? There is no one size fits all — it is different for everyone.

It doesn't even have to be strictly about getting or giving, although there's no doubt that the actions of giving and receiving will play a big part in the process.

This maybe a relief for most of you, however if it kills the mystery and suspense somewhat of there being something a bit more revelationary, mystical or even magical, sorry to disappoint, but hey this is just my humble opinion, and we all know how much opinions are worth — right?

Don't you think Dorothy (played by Judy Garland) knew there was something better, so eloquently pronounced in her song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"?

All kids understand change and the expectations of getting something better, until they start to experience pain and get brainwashed somewhere along the way into believing as adults that change is either hard, not necessary or represents pain, possibly from perceiving much loss. I think most of us can relate to this as an underlying cause inhibiting change at some time in our lives.

Deep roots making change difficult can often be traced back to childhood for sure, however on the bright side — change is always possible, by anyone at any age! Think of that 94 year old granny 'bungy' jumping, or did she do that cos she was completely mad? Well done gran.

So now that we have uncovered the secret of life, where to now you ask?

Well, do you want something better?

Do you believe you deserve something better?

You do, so do you know what you want?

Do you think you can get or achieve it?

Do you really think you can have better without first being grateful for what you have now?

And now for the good news. These questions will be covered more in depth in future articles about change, so stay tuned.

Love from your heart is the source of all your power I say...

So with love, kindness, peace and freedom as always

well done Michael. a very nice article and obviously from the heart. now let me add my 2cents worth. LIFE CAN BE CHANGED IN 15 MINUTES. anyone can do it. simply get up go for a walk. take a good look at nature and decide that from that moment onward life will be different. appreciate the small things and don't aim too high. it only takes 15 minutes to completely change your life. you are the only person who can decide to change.
