"The sleep of reason produces monsters" - Francisco De Goya

On a Day of Remembrance we must first sincerely acknowledge all those who gave of themselves in all our horrid and pointless battles and wars, for what they either believed in or were compelled to do.

I'm sure if all our fallen and wounded souls could make one wish now, it would be that no man, woman or child would ever have to suffer again from the needless loss of life and destruction setup by those few in the world craving their beliefs and ultimate power and control, no matter of the cost to others.

For real power is only found within — in love, in giving and in creating a better life for every living soul that walks the face of the Earth, both in the present and future.

As we not only give one minute of silence today in respect and gratitude to those who unknowingly or unwittingly made grave sacrifices, gave of themselves and ultimately gave their lives and souls away in many different ways, let us seek a more conscious and lasting silence within us all.

Real service now for us all is to wake from the unconscious sleep that allows monsters to be set loose. Let us seek to understand the question of what real humanity is, a question that beats a lonely rhythm all night long...

As with each day and more people awake with love in their hearts, let us all rejoice, for love in your heart is the only way true peace can ever be found. Sometimes it is only when you are ready to lose your life, that you can then begin a path of real living.

Who we really are and all we will ever be are peaceful and loving children of God, if only we could just remember.

With love, kindness and peace
Michael
