Beyond Separation first began in 2008 with its roots stemming back to 2002 as a not for profit organisation called Survivors of Separation.

From mid 2007 the Livingstone Community Centre has been a sanctuary offering support and alternatives to those in need in dealing with the many transitional issues a family separation often entails.
